Political Scientist - International Relations Specialist

Themistoklis Z. Zanidis is a former Officer of the Hellenic Navy. He has a BA in Cultural Studies (Consentration: Greek Civilization) from the Hellenic Open University and a MSc, with honours. in International and European Studies (Consentration: Strategic Studies) from University of Piraeus. Themistoklis is a MA student at Rutgers University in Political Science (Consentration: United Nations and Global Policy Studies).

In addition to this, he is Research Intern at Institute of International Relations (IDIS) on the field of "Strategic Culture of Greece and Turkey". Furthermore, he is Member of the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists (HAPSc) and Member of the Committee of International Relations/Strategy at the Institute of Foreign Affairs (FAINST).

He is Co-founder of ElladaTheProject 2021. His special research interests are in international relations, strategy, international security, politics, geopolitics, hegemonic competition US-China and strategic culture. Ο Θεμιστοκλής Ζ. Ζανίδης είναι απόστρατος Αξιωματικός του Πολεμικού Ναυτικού. Είναι πτυχιούχος του τμήματος Σπουδές στον Ελληνικό Πολιτισμό του ΕΑΠ, κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Τίτλου Ειδίκευσης με Άριστα στις Διεθνείς κι Ευρωπαϊκές Σπουδές, με ειδίκευση στις Διεθνείς Σχέσεις και Στρατηγικές Σπουδές, του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιά. Είναι επίσης μεταπτυχιακός φοιτητής του Πανεπιστημίου Rutgers στο τμήμα Political Science (United Nations and Global Policies Studies). Επιπροσθέτως είναι ερευνητής στο Ινστιτούτο Διεθνών Σχέσεων του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου (ΙΔΙΣ) στον τομέα «Στρατηγική Κουλτούρα Ελλάδας-Τουρκίας».

Παράλληλα, είναι Μέλος του Ελληνικού Οργανισμού Πολιτικών Επιστημόνων (ΕΟΠΕ) και της Επιτροπής για τις Διεθνείς Σχέσεις και τη Στρατηγική του Ινστιτούτου Εξωτερικών Υποθέσεων. Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος του ΕλλάδαTheProject 2021. Τα κύρια ερευνητικά του πεδία ενδιαφέροντα είναι: διεθνείς σχέσεις, στρατηγική, γεωπολιτική, διεθνής ασφάλεια, ανταγωνισμός ΗΠΑ-Κίνας, στρατηγική κουλτούρα.
